I'm all about having fun. But I take writing very seriously. I think the best writers work for The Onion, The New Yorker and The Irish Times - so I read them religiously. 

I think simple is smart, and I live by the following rules:

1. Write short words, short sentences and short paragraphs.

2. Write the way you talk, naturally.

3. Overestimate your readers' intelligence, underestimate their knowledge.

When I'm not working you'll find me at the gallery or dancing to soul train in my kitchen.
